LaTazza d'oro - The Story of a Traditional Sardinian Roasting Workshop
Since 1938, La Tazza d’Oro has imported and exclusively roasted premium green coffee varieties to produce aromatic and incomparable coffee. The passion of the company’s founders, Giuseppe and Carmela Murgia, was crucial to the success of their blends.
While the brand remains committed to the heritage of traditional roasting, the younger generation also places great importance on modern production standards.
Their love for coffee is evident in their blends, crafted from the finest green coffee beans available on the global market.
As is often the case in Italy, La Tazza d’Oro also began with a small café, located in Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. Many years passed before relocating to a more modern facility in the early 1970s.
Today, the roasting workshop operates under modern quality standards. The family guarantees consistent quality and taste across all blends.
In Sardinia, as in all of Italy, the tradition of good Italian coffee is cherished. La Tazza d’Oro is now the largest roaster in Sardinia!
Even in the smallest village on the island, you’ll find a café serving La Tazza d’Oro blends.
The Vision of This Family Business:
Sardinia is famous for its white beaches, rugged coastlines, and crystal-clear sea. Inland, one finds lush green landscapes and a charming culture. An island of contrasts. This is where we grew up, learning to respect one another and work hard.
Today, La Tazza d’Oro is known well beyond the island’s borders. In over 20 countries worldwide, from France to Japan and the United States, you can enjoy and savor this delicious coffee.
