Tasting pack - The gold medallists

3 bags of 1000g each - whole beans

Discover 3 of our gold medal-winning coffees in this set. All have been awarded at least one gold medal by the IIAC (International Institute of Coffee Tasters) for their exceptional quality and taste.

BAR CARACOL Saturno

1000g bag of whole beans

The Saturno roaster was founded in 1952 by Pietro Notti in Alessandria, Italy, giving him almost 70 years of experience. Bar Caracol was Pietro Notti's first blend and is still the flagship of Caffé Saturno today.

The green beans are Arabicas from Central and South America and Robusta beans from Uganda. Of course, these raw beans are roasted slowly and individually in a drum roaster and then blended to form this irresistible blend. Due to its lighter roast, Saturno Bar Caracol is particularly suitable for use in automatic coffee machines. Espresso, cappuccino, café crème, latte macchiato - everything is perfect.

A perfectly balanced blend in which Brazil undoubtedly predominates. The particularly high proportion of "caracoli", also known as "coffee pearls", combines perfectly with the other components and creates a unique, full-bodied taste. The "caracoli" add a special touch. They are very round coffee beans that grow mainly in the Brazilian Mogiana Valley. They are roasted with great delicacy and have proven to be particularly tasty and are characterised by a low caffeine content.

And because so much taste must be rewarded, Bar Caracol has already been awarded two gold medals: in 2008 and in 2014 at the International Coffee Tasting. Thanks to its exceptional quality, Saturno Caffè's Miscela 1 Bar Caracol has been certified Espresso Italiano by the INEI (Istituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). This institute has been protecting and promoting genuine espresso since 1998.

Golden Brasil Coffee - Black

1000g whole beans

Blending ratio: 80% Arabica beans / 20% Robusta beans

Golden Black is a unique composition of green coffees from the most renowned growing regions. Family-run plantations from Brazil and Central America provide high-quality and natural Arabica beans. The share of Robustas comes from India and Uganda.

Golden Brasil's roastmasters wanted to create a true Italian espresso that was not only classically intense, but also unmistakably full-bodied and held a wide range of aromas and flavors. After much experimentation, they have achieved just that.

Countries of origin of the varieties: Brazil Santos, Costa Rica, India Cherry, India Parchem, Colombia, Congo, Panama, Peru, Togo, Uganda.

What makes this espresso so special?

In addition to the classic strong taste, this blend is characterized by its enormous variety of flavors. The Golden Black convinces with four distinctive flavors. Fruity and floral notes can be tasted as well as dark chocolate and bitter almond.

One sip and you get a true taste explosion. The beans are, of course, separately and traditionally refined in a drum roaster on medium. The caffeine content is in the lower half compared to other espressos. Thus, you can enjoy the Golden Black without any problems at any time of the day.

To underline this outstanding quality of this espresso, the Golden Black has been awarded the gold medal twice at the international coffee tasting championships. In 2017 it won the Asian edition and in 2020 the Italian.

Caffè La Genovese Oro 1000g

Espresso coffee, whole beans

Mixing ratio: 80% Arabica beans/ 20% Robusta beans

The beans are roasted gently, separately and with medium intensity, giving them an aromatic, chocolaty aroma. The result is a full-bodied, low acid espresso with fine nuances of bread and hazelnut and a fine, almost creamy crema.

La Genovese Caffè's Oro is a perfect choice for both screen and fully automatic preparation.

Low caffeine content of only 1.10% to 1.30%.

Thanks to its outstanding quality, La Genovese Royal has been certified as Italian Espresso by INEI (Instituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). The Institute has been protecting and promoting genuine espresso since 1998.
